About International Education

The principal role of International Education is to support the University System of Georgia鈥檚 strategies for global education, research, and engagement. The 抖阴社区短视频 pursues strategies that align our international programs and assets with the 抖阴社区短视频 Strategic Plan and with the state of Georgia鈥檚 international goals and needs.

The vast majority of international education activities are initiated at the campus level. International Education assists 抖阴社区短视频 campuses with all aspects of campus internationalization, Study Abroad program development and international student and scholar services.

The University System of Georgia supports and monitors these important activities as part of its continuing pursuit of education excellence. Whenever possible and beneficial, the University System Office seeks to facilitate collaboration and communication among related institutional programs.

International Education鈥檚 major priorities includes:

  1. The establishment of system-wide 鈥渂est practices鈥 to assist our international programs in developing and maintaining solid programs.
  2. Supporting educational and cultural programs that foster greater understanding and appreciation for other cultures and traditions.
  3. Administering the 抖阴社区短视频’s J-1 Exchange Visitor program consortium which invites foreign individuals and delegations to Georgia for teaching, research, and study.
  4. Collecting and monitoring a variety of data about 抖阴社区短视频 study abroad participation, international student matriculation and other key aspects of international education.
  5. Coordination of the System Council on International Education (SCIE), the 抖阴社区短视频鈥檚 international advisory committee, as well as, the Study Abroad and International Student and Scholars sub-committees.
