Dr. Kimberly Fabbri-Greener said, "Over the past year, Libby has demonstrated aptitude as a burgeoning professional balancing classwork, practicum experience, work in Career Services, and engagement in clubs and organizations on campus.

From the start, Libby showed herself to be an active listener. She is attentive to what people say and how they say it. She notes non-verbal cues and knows how to show extra empathy to folks when they seem stressed. In the time that Libby worked in our office, I have observed her de-escalate patrons with her patience and by showing sincere concern for helping people get what they need. She finds ways to relate to students and shows a high degree of care in helping them navigate situations.

Libby also has an innate willingness to learn. She is never afraid to ask questions or try something new, taking accountability as she troubleshoots new tasks or responsibilities. From re-organizing the Career Closet to processing data from our Career Management System to assisting with a presentation for a student organization, Libby has taken on each new responsibility with grace, poise, and an openness to learn.

In addition to working in Career Services, Libby serves as an Office of Access & Accommodations STARS mentor and is active in the community service club Girls on Top, all while maintaining a high GPA . For these reasons, we nominate Libby to be this month's Scholar Holler winner."
