Employee Parking Permits
Employees parking on campus must purchase a parking permit and register their vehicle with Parking Services. Employees also have the option to purchase a secondary permit for a motorcycle or electric and hybrid vehicle (see information below).
Permits are now available for the 2026-27 academic year through the .
You have three options to pay for the permit:
- Continue with existing payroll deduction
- Create a new payroll deduction
- Pay for permit immediately with a credit/debit card plus the convenience fee.
Parking Permits must be purchased each academic year through the Parking Portal even if you have a payroll deduction to pay for the permit.
- Please watch your SU email each July for an announcement regarding the opening of parking pass sales for the upcoming academic year.
- If you did not purchase a permit through the portal, and have a payroll deduction established to pay for a permit, the deduction will continue automatically until you complete a Payroll Deduction Card to cancel it. Please return the Payroll Deduction Card to the Payroll Office, Holloway Hall Room 215.
All employees will need to register for permits online through the permit system and will need their GullNet log-in information.
- If you do not know this information, please contact the IT Help Desk at 410-677-5454.
Employees with outstanding parking ticket balances at Salisbury University (SU) or Central Collections Unit (CCU), will not be eligible for a parking permit until the balance is paid in full.
Employees new to the University should visit Parking Services in the University Police/East Campus Complex [] for assistance in purchasing a parking permit.
- Please bring the vehicle registration information for the vehicle that will be on the parking permit and your SU login credentials (if you have already started employment)
If a vehicle other than the registered vehicle, is driven to campus, that vehicle must be added to the existing permit. Failure to register the other vehicle can result in the issuance of a citation.
Each Employee permit may be registered for up to three vehicles, though only one registered vehicle may be on campus at a time. To add a vehicle to the existing permit:
- Log into the permit system using your SU login information.
- Click on “Permits > View Your Permits.”
- Click on the permit number.
- Click on “Add Vehicles to Permit.”
- Click on “Add a New Vehicle”
- Add the vehicle information and click “Next.”
Children and spouses of faculty and staff who are students at the University should register their vehicles as students and park in student lots.
License plate information must be added without spaces or dashes. Examples of correct license plate entries (PDF).
License Plate Recognition & Information Retention
Salisbury University uses license plate recognition in place of physical permits to ensure vehicles are authorized to park on campus.
Mounted cameras to scan license plates as valid permits and issue citations to vehicles without valid University permits or to those not parking in the proper parking lots. These cameras are for imaging only and do not capture any data.
License plates must face the driving lane and be properly affixed to the vehicle to be scanned for compliance. A vehicle will be cited if its plate cannot be scanned or if plate is not attached to vehicle.
- Vehicles with only one license plate are not authorized to back in or pull through spaces and may be cited.
- Citations issued due to inaccurate plate information or the inability to scan are the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
- Refunds for permits and waiving of citations will not be approved for plates entered inaccurately.
- If two or more vehicles from a unique parking registration are found parked on campus at the same time, each vehicle will be issued a citation.
