By SU Public Relations
SALISBURY, MD---The Museum of Eastern Shore Culture at Salisbury University recently was announced as a recipient of nearly $40,000 in grant funding from the Bay to Beach Heritage Area (BBHA) to further its cultural offerings.
A $4,800 BBHA mini grant benefits exhibit-related programming for the museum’s current installation, “Drop In: Skateboarding's Cultural Influence on the Lower Shore.” The exhibit is on display through Saturday, September 13.
The museum also is receiving $34,700 thanks to the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority’s Heritage Program toward the project “Her Common Thread: Women and the Fiber Arts.” The initiative includes the spring 2026 exhibit “Mending: The Female Narrative Through Fiber” and a “Crossroads Fiber Festival,” scheduled for May in downtown Salisbury. The grant will allow for companion programming and events with the exhibit and festival.
Located at 218 W. Main Street in Salisbury, the Museum of Eastern Shore Culture cultivates the preservation and expression of the cultural heritage and traditional arts of Delmarva’s various communities.
The museum is open 11a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
