SALISBURY, MD---Fire can strike at any time. When it does, the Salisbury Fire Department is ready.

But that preparedness takes training. Salisbury University recently provided access to an SU-owned building slated for demolition to help Salisbury firefighters train on searches, rapid intervention, and basement operations, as part of the University’s ongoing community outreach.

The structure was acquired by the SU Foundation, Inc. in 2017, along with the adjacent Temple Hill Motel and Court Plaza Shopping Center. There are no immediate plans for the property.
