Taking Care of Caregivers and Their Families
Family Study Room
The Salisbury University Libraries are pleased to offer our Family Study Room, a separate room set aside for use by students, faculty, and staff who want a comfortable place to work while caring for children and vulnerable adults. Please see more details below about who may use the room. The room includes:
- Space for up to 2 families at once
- 3 computer stations
- Adult and child-sized furniture
- Children’s books, toys, easels and art supplies, puzzles, games, and more
- Sound reduction panels to limit concerns over disrupting others
The room may be used by caregivers who are current Salisbury University students, faculty, and staff, as well as those from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Wor-Wic Community College.
Priority use of this room is for students, faculty, and staff who are caring for children or vulnerable adults. If you are not caregiving, you may be asked to find another space if the room is needed for that purpose.
Study Buddy Playtime Packs
We also have Study Buddy Playtime Packs with age-appropriate books and activities, available for children ages 0-12 who are accompanying their parents and caregivers while they work in the GAC. Parents and caregivers can come to the Library Service Desk to check one out.
