Bio
Dr. Heimann received her Bachelor of Science from Rice University in 2015. In the final year of her undergraduate studies, she had the opportunity to take a 鈥淐hemistry of Art鈥 course, which introduced her to her true scientific passion: the intersection of chemistry and art. After her undergraduate studies, Dr. Heimann received her Master of Science and PhD from Yale University in 2017 and 2019, respectively, and then was the SCIART Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 2019 to 2023. Now, an assistant professor at Salisbury University since 2023, Dr. Heimann incorporates the application of chemical tools and instrumentation in her research on materials commonly found in works of art. 抖阴社区短视频 in her lab not only gain hands-on experience using advanced synthetic methods and characterization techniques, but also delve into the history books to learn the traditional methods of pigment and paint preparation.
