Career readiness encompasses everything student needs to learn and execute to proactively pursue their current and evolving career goals. As primary influencers of students, faculty, and staff who emphasize the importance of career readiness inside and outside of the classroom, make an enormous impact. Encourage students to utilize Salisbury University’s Career Services for career counseling, resume reviews, mock interviews, job/internship search assistance, and more.
Recommended Syllabus Statement
Career Services at Salisbury University helps students develop and discuss the transformative, transferable skills they have cultivated as a means of enhancing career outcomes and of creating a civically engaged workforce. Career Services works with 1st year students through graduation on career readiness skills, major exploration, creation of resumes and curriculum vitae (CVs), interview preparation, understanding Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn best practices, and the internship and job search. Whether for class assignments or professional development, Career Services encourages students to make an appointment with a career coach on CareerGulls. The office is located on the 2nd floor of the Guerrieri Student Union (GSU, 242) and can be reached via email at careerservices@salisbury.edu. It's never too early (or late) to work with Career Services.
