SU’s Center for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence (CAFE) supports faculty through our four pillars: (1) Teaching and Pedagogy, (2) Research and Scholarship, (3) Professional Development, and (4) Personal Wellness.

To enhance your personal wellness, CAFE offers this new, free, monthly “Functional Movement” program to recharge your body and reset your mind at the end of the workday. This energizing and accessible 60-minute class focuses on everyday mobility, alignment, and mindful movement to help reduce tension, improve balance, and support long-term wellness.

Taught by Heather Martin, Environmental Studies faculty and certified yoga instructor, this class is open to all bodies and experience levels. Just wear comfortable clothes that you can move in, bring a mat or towel, and have a willingness to stretch, breathe, and feel better in your body. Learn more about Heather’s and CAFE.
